Using Taxonomies in Drupal 7

07:03
Taxonomies are used in Drupal to establish categories. As Content Editors add more information into the site the taxonomy structure is used to present them with checklists of categories. These can later be used in presenting the content in groups. This video shows how quick and easy it is to introduce categories into your Drupal 7 website. This is part of my presentation, "What is Drupal?" originally presented at the 2012 Minne*bar unconference in Minneapolis, MN. Peter Johnson http://WebExplorations.com

Centering Page in High Res Monitors Using CSS

06:09
A common problem with web design is how to build a page that is readable no matter what the resolution is on the user's monitor. Should it be 800 pixels for the low-res folks or 1800 pixels for the high-resolution multi-monitor people? Here is a solution: Make the display array 800 pixels and center it on the monitor, no matter what the resolution. This was presented during my face-to-face classes on Feb 17, 2011.
