Want to lose belly fat? Here are five beginner level exercises which will help you lose belly fat. These five exercises will work out your upper lower and middle abdomen. These exercises can be done by both men and women. Warning - Before starting any exercise plan please consult a doctor. Start only if your doctor gives a go ahead. Crunches Crunches are probably the most common exercise for reducing belly fat. Beginners should start with this exercise to develop strength in the abdomen area. Lift This exercise is for the middle abdomen. This abdominal exercise involves lifting your hips and works the muscles in the middle abdomen area. Leg Lift This exercise works out the lower abdomen. This is the area which accumulates most fat and is the hardest to get rid of. Arm & Leg Lift This is an exercise where you lift the left arm and the right leg together and vice versa. This is a good workout for your obliques. Beginners should start with lifting one arm and one leg at a time and then graduate to lifting both arms and both legs together. 6 Minute Standing Ab Workout: A Great Ab Workout without the Floor

This workout will have your core burning big time without ever going to the floor! Make this workout your go-to if you don't have a comfortable surface to lay on, don't want to get down on a floor that's seen a lot of foot traffic, or just want to mix up your ab routine. For this 6 minute workout, you will be doing 4 ab exercises for 45 seconds each, two times through. The 4 ab exercises are: 1) Punches - Place your legs about shoulder width apart and twist your upper body, throwing a punch with your arm. Then twist the other direction and punch with your other arm. Your feet should stay mostly stationary, with just a little twist of the same foot of the arm that is punching to allow the body to twist. 2) Front Kicks - Keep one leg planted and kick out with the other leg, focusing on contracting your abs when you kick. Alternate legs after each kick. Be sure you have plenty of space to do this exercise and don't kick anything or anyone! 3) Standing Marches - Start with both hands straight up in the air and bring one knee all the way up while bringing your arms down, keeping your hands above your elbows and near your body, so your elbows and knee line up, with your knee in between both arms. As you do this, squeeze your abs. Return to the starting position and do the same thing with your other knee, and continue to alternate knees. 4) Standing Cross Crunch: Knee to Elbow Variant - Bring one arm up so your elbow is at chest height and your hand is above your elbow, and bring your opposite knee up while bringing that arm down so your elbow meets your knee (don't hit them together hard). As you do this, squeeze your abs. Return them back to their starting point and do the same thing with your other knee and elbow, and continue to alternate. Extended Leg Variant - Kick one of your legs straight out, keeping your leg as straight as possible, and reach out to touch the toes of that leg with your opposite hand. Alternate legs and arms throughout the workout. Don't worry if you can't kick super high or touch your toes when you do this workout, just make sure you are doing the range of motion that you are able to do and engaging your abs with each move. The Secret to "Boxer" Abs (FULL WORKOUT!)

In this video, I’m going to show you the secret behind their training that allows them to look amazing and how you can incorporate the same into one simple ab workout to get your core looking incredible as well. It starts with looking at some popular punch throwers, the essence of boxing. Here I showcase Bruce Lee (perhaps one of the hardest punchers of all time), Manny Pacquiao and Rocky Balboa himself, Sylvester Stallone. All three of these guys have awesome looking abs. That said, there is much more to the story than just their abs. Watch as I remove the serratus anterior from the equation and see how drastically different their midsections look when I do. This is because the serratus is one of the most critical muscles to the overall look and development of the core. The best part about it? It is very easy to engage when you know how to do it properly. I show you the best way to do it and give you five exercises that you can put into one ab workout that will hit your rectus abdominus, obliques and serratus all in one shot. The activation of the serratus allows us to protract our shoulders and get our shoulder blades to not just wrap around our torso but to stay closely intact with the ribcage when doing so. Many people that suffer from scapular winging have a weakness in the serratus anterior that is preventing them from stabilizing the shoulder blade with forward arm movement. The muscle also helps in elevation of the arm overhead. In order to do this you need to have upward rotation of the scapula. This is once again where the serratus comes in to help other muscles in the process of doing this without a hitch. We can hit this muscle very well if we figure out ways to protract the arm against resistance and of course include a heavy dose of ab work by picking the right exercises that allow us to light them up as well. The first of these exercises is called the plank up. Instead of just passively resting on our forearms on the floor you want to actively press your forearms down to lift your body up and back. This will protract your shoulder blades and instantly activate your serratus. The plank position itself of course will fire up the abs. Next we have the serratus anterior rollouts. If you have been watching this channel for any length of time you know that I love the ab wheel as an ab training device. Many people use it incorrectly however. You want to be sure that you are protracting your shoulder blades first and maintaining them throughout the rollout on every rep to get the serratus involved here as well and making it a killer exercise combo. No boxing workout would be complete without a little punching. You can do a resisted serratus punch with the band anchored behind you. Make sure you reach out as far as you can, and then go even further! Keep your feet positioned as I show you in order to narrow your base of support and make the core and abs work harder than ever. The screwdriver core exercise is a great variation on a dip in which you actually will never perform a dip. Instead you’ll lift your pelvis into a posterior pelvic tilt to activate your abs. Push through your hands on every rep to lift your body and round your shoulder blades around your ribcage and you will fire up the serratus anterior yet again. The extra rotation of the pelvis will get the obliques going here as well. Finally, the crunch pulldown is a popular ab exercise that can be easily modified to involve the serratus as well just by altering the position of your body in relation to the rope. Press the rope away from you to turn this one into a killer option to finish out this great abs and core workout. A flat stomach and a small waist is a goal of many women, and very often even extensive workouts don’t help, or we simply don’t have enough time or will power for those. The good news is that we’ve put together a set of exercises for your abs and waist that you can do without getting up from your chair. Remember warming-up is an extremely important part of any workout. Continue with oblique twists. Thanks to them, you’ll be kissing that muffin top goodbye and saying hello to a slimmer waist and stronger abs. Forward bends develop a muscle called the Rectus Abdominis, which is the long flat muscle that helps flex the spinal column. When trained properly, it’ll give you a perfectly flat and toned tummy. Knees to the chest give a nice workout to your thigh muscles and the Rectus Abdominis muscle. Leg raises are great at getting rid of that annoying lower belly pooch we’d all love to send packing. As you strengthen your abs, doing knee circles will get easier with time. Losing weight requires not only physical training but also a healthy diet. Try to keep count of how many calories you consume according to the number recommended for your age, gender, and lifestyle. Your diet must be well-balanced. Spending any more than 10 minutes training your abs is a colossal error since it is extremely unnecessary in order to see results. Your abs respond best to hard, intense exercises done for a short period of time but done consistently over the course of many days. In this video, I’m going to show you a 7 minute ab workout that proves all you need is intensity and not length for good abs. This entire ab workout can be done on the floor without any equipment at all. It is going to cover all of the major functions of the ab muscles and incorporate other muscles of the core as well such as the obliques. The key is that you are going to move from one exercise to the next without resting. You earn one 30 second rest at the midpoint of the workout but that is it. If you keep the exercises moving you never give your abs a chance to breathe, so to speak. You apply the intensity and then step on the gas throughout the rest of the workout. This allows the workout to stay difficult even if the individual ab exercises themselves are not the most challenging that you have performed. This one starts with a bottom up movement (that also tends to incorporate a lot of rotation as well) and this is the figure 8. For the figure 8, you are literally doing what it says and moving your legs in the shape of an 8 laying on its side. This forces you to not blend two of the more challenging movement patterns into one exercise but does so when you are freshest and most capable of doing it uncompromised. Next you move onto the long leg windshield wipers. If this is too difficult for you, you can shorten the moment arm and bend the legs rather than keeping them straight. This essentially lightens the load felt by the abs and allows you to perform the exercise if the long leg variation is too difficult to maintain for the entire 60 seconds. This moves onto the twisting piston exercise. This is a plank variation but much more effective because of the dynamic nature of it. You not only have to have the strength to stabilize your body to avoid excessive movement here, but the plyometric aspect of the mini jumps, turns your core into a shock absorber as well and allows it to be much more functional at the same time. Finally, a well deserved 30 second rest break. Come out of the break and go right into the Starfish Crunch. This one is no joke! Keep both your arms and legs out wide as you perform this six pack exercise and twist to one side as you come up. This will be both a midrange and top down rotational movement, with the added benefit of hitting the oblique muscles as well. Finally, finish with 2 minutes of rotational ab circles. This one is the easiest to perform, but since we saved it for last in the ab workout, will feel much more difficult (and effective). In this video, I’m going to show you the fastest way to get your lower abs to pop and the 4 steps you need to take to make sure you don’t get hung up along the way. The first key to a six pack is to make sure that your nutrition is not just decent but great. There is no way to get your lower abs to show year round if you cannot commit to anything more than just a decent diet. Men tend to store the majority of their body fat in their lower bellies. It is often the last to come off when losing body fat and dieting down. This means that unless you are locked in on a consistent, high quality nutrition plan you likely won’t see this area get lean enough to really see your lower abs. Now, the method you choose to get down in the body fat range where seeing the lower abs is possible is up to you. Some will swear by 6 meals a day, others by intermittent fasting, others by keto, etc. Honestly, I don’t care which it is that you follow but you better make sure that whatever you choose it is something that allows you to be consistent with it for the long term. Too many diet plans for 6 pack abs wind up being temporary. You lose weight and body fat enough so that you can see the lower abs for a short period of time but wind up putting it all back on because the diet is not something you can stick with. Don’t let that happen to you. Find something that you can enjoy and you will have found your lower abs for life. Next, we have to address the common mistakes made in how we perform our ab exercises. While the rectus abdominus is a single muscle that contracts all or none, you cannot simply perform top down ab exercises like crunches and expect to get the same level of development as if you performed lower ab exercises. Lower ab exercises are those that move from the bottom up. The key to these exercises is that the added weight of the legs that needs to be overcome on each rep is enough to provide an overload and a stimulation of the type II fibers of the abdominals. When these are activated and trained, the abs will hypertrophy a bit and stand out more making them more visible when body fat levels are low. This leads to the next big ab training mistake however. You have to make sure that you don’t confuse simply moving your legs with effective targeting of the lower abs. In order to train the lower ab muscles the right way you need to focus on moving the pelvis rather than the legs. When the pelvis moves, the legs will come along for the ride naturally due to their connection at the hip joint. Regardless of whether you are doing hanging ab raises or lower ab exercises on the floor, the same key applies. Be sure to posteriorly rotate your pelvis in order to activate the lower abs and stop focusing on simply raising and lowering the legs which is more of a hip flexor dominant movement. Finally, you will want to expand your understanding of the core if you want to get your lower abs to show better. This means, looking to stabilize the pelvis from below by contracting the adductors on every rep of every exercise you can for your bottom most abs.
