Stress is a major problem for many people — a hectic, stressful job, a chaotic home life, bills to worry about, and bad habits such as unhealthy eating, drinking and smoking can lead to a mountain of stress. If your life is full of stress, like mine once was, there are some simle things you can do to get your life to a more manageable level. Now, your life will probably never be stress-free — I don’t think that’s even desirable, even if it is possible, because stress is something that challenges us and helps us grow. At a reasonable level. But when stress gets too high, it causes us to be unhappy and unhealthy. How did I do all of this? One thing at a time. I didn’t do a major rehaul of my life. I changed one habit a month, and gradually over the course of a year or two changed a lot of things in my life. I won’t guarantee that all of these will work for you. They worked for me, but each person is different. Pick and choose the ones that will work best for you, and give them a try. One at a time. 1. One thing at a time. This is the simplest and best way to start reducing your stress, and you can start today. Right now. Focus as much as possible on doing one thing at a time. Clear your desk of distractions. Pick something to work on. Need to write a report? Do only that. Remove distractions such as phones and email notifications while you’re working on that report. If you’re going to do email, do only that. This takes practice, and you’ll get urges to do other things. Just keep practicing and you’ll get better at it. 2. Simplify your schedule. A hectic schedule is a major cause of high stress. Simplify by reducing the number of commitments in your life to just the essential ones. Learn to say no to the rest — and slowly get out of commitments that aren’t beneficial to you. Schedule only a few important things each day, and put space between them. Get out of meetings when they aren’t absolutely essential. Leave room for down time and fun. 3. Get moving. Do something each day to be active — walk, hike, play a sport, go for a run, do yoga. It doesn’t have to be grueling to reduce stress. Just move. Have fun doing it. 4. Develop one healthy habit this month. Other than getting active, improving your health overall will help with the stress. But do it one habit at a time. Eat fruits and veggies for snacks. Floss every day. Quit smoking. Cook something healthy for dinner. Drink water instead of soda. One habit at a time. 5. Do something calming. What do you enjoy that calms you down? For many people, it can be the “get moving” activity discussed above. But it could also be taking a nap, or a bath, or reading, or having sex (which can also be considered a “get moving” activity if you do it for longer than 5 minutes). Other people are calmed by housework or yardwork. Some people like to meditate, or take a nature walk. Find your calming activity and try to do it each day. 6. Simplify your finances. 7. Have a blast! Have fun each day, even if it’s just for a few minutes. I like to play with my kids — they take my mind off everything and are really hilarious. I also like to play sports (again, often with my kids). Board games are fun. Sex, again, can be a fun activity. Whatever you choose, be sure to laugh. 8. Get creative. 9. Declutter. 10. Be early.

And this is a very fair question, but it's not the right question to ask. It's a fair question because there are so many different diet approaches to choose from. There's low carb dieting, low fat dieting, fasting, paleo, vegetarian, atkins, keto, the dash diet, the mediteranean diet, the blood type diet and the list can go on and on. There's definitely a lot to choose from, but it's not the right question to ask because to get six pack abs you have to be able to diet consistently over TIME. That's right it's gonna take time to see your abs, so the number one question you should ask is which diet will I be able to stick to everyday. And it turns out there was a study done on over 600 people that observed the changes in weight lost over the course of a year. The 600 people were divided between 2 groups low carb and low fat, almost everything else remained identical. At the end of the study researchers found that some people in each group lost a lot of weight, others lost a little bit of weight, and some even gained weight. But the amazing thing was that both charts matched almost identically, and the reason why was one thing...adherence. Some people in the low carb group were able to easily give up carbs for a year and others cheated for the majority of the year because they couldn't stick to only eating mostly high protein and high fat foods. The same thing happened in the low fat group. The point is as long as you can find a diet plan that you can stick to you'll be very successful with reducing your body fat, so it's not about finding the best one, its about finding the one that works for you. The best way to do this is to find a way of eating that doesn't feel like dieting at all. So everyday you'll want to start by picking your favorite whole real single ingredient foods. Single ingredient foods will naturally fill you up and make it easy to create a caloric deficit, but its very important to pick foods that you actually enjoy eating if you want to be able to stick to eating them consistently. Next you'll want to decide how often to eat. Again the right way is the way you can actually stick to. Do you do better with small consistent meals throughout the day or will you be able to adhere to a fasting protocol better where you eat only one two or three times a day? By eating only single ingredient foods daily and choosing what times of the days to eat them based on your personal preferences you'll slowly change your relationship to food which is the major key to successfully be able to stick to a long term diet. The next thing you'll want to do daily is weight training. And I don't mean that I want you to work your abs with weights everyday. Start Losing Your Belly Fat Fast: http://go.sixpackshortcuts.com/never47a1 Hey, everybody. Mark Mcilyar here today to show you one of my favorite at-home exercises I have my beginners doing... Right in their living rooms! First and foremost, make sure you have a sufficient amount of space. You don't need a ton of it, just put your arms extended all the way out to each side, do a 360-degree spin, and make sure nothing in that area is going to get in the way. We will be doing a total of 5 different exercises, all back-to-back with no rest until you finish the first round of all 5 movements.Now, let's get going: 0:39 - Elevated Pushups for 10 reps: Remember that these movements are for beginners. That means if you aren't able to fully complete a set of pushups with proper form - back flat, on your toes, arms holding you up and at a shoulder's width - on the ground, then find an elevated surface to workout with. The higher the surface - my coffee table for example, the easier it's going to be for you to do the move. 1:32 - Air Squats for 10 reps: With your feet just about at a shoulder's width apart, you'll essentially be performing a movement identical to sitting down. Here's the kicker - keep your arms forward and out like I am to keep your back straight, remembering to drop down into the squat until your quads hit parallel or if not as low as your mobility allows. 2:13 - Lying Leg Lifts for 10 reps: Lay flat on your back and place your hands underneath your butt. With your legs together or at most a hip's width apart and your legs locked with a slight bend at the knee, lift your legs off the ground and drive your knees up to become parallel with your hips. 2:47 - Donkey Kicks for 10 reps on each leg: Kneel down on your knees and have your hands in a pushup position - shoulder's width apart and at chest level. From this starting point, you will lift one leg up, keeping the leg you ar moving in a locked position and driving your leg up by focusing on your heel going towards the ceiling. Once you finish one leg, make sure to alternate to the next. 3:34 - Knee Pushups for 10 reps: Another pushup variation, only we are taking the pressure off of staying in a plank position, and you will do the pushups from the same start position as you doing the donkey kicks. There you have it. Do all 5 movements back-to-back and after you finish the round with Knee Pushups, take about a 45 second to 1-minute break. Complete a total of 3 rounds for a complete, bodyweight home workout in as little as 7 minutes. To all the beginners looking to get started working out to lose their belly fat and get in shape: It's only 7 minutes out of your day! Start out just doing this maybe 2 or 3 times a week, and as you get into the swing of things, increase it to 3 or 4. In this video, I’m going to show you the fastest way to get your lower abs to pop and the 4 steps you need to take to make sure you don’t get hung up along the way. The first key to a six pack is to make sure that your nutrition is not just decent but great. There is no way to get your lower abs to show year round if you cannot commit to anything more than just a decent diet. Men tend to store the majority of their body fat in their lower bellies. It is often the last to come off when losing body fat and dieting down. This means that unless you are locked in on a consistent, high quality nutrition plan you likely won’t see this area get lean enough to really see your lower abs. Now, the method you choose to get down in the body fat range where seeing the lower abs is possible is up to you. Some will swear by 6 meals a day, others by intermittent fasting, others by keto, etc. Honestly, I don’t care which it is that you follow but you better make sure that whatever you choose it is something that allows you to be consistent with it for the long term. Too many diet plans for 6 pack abs wind up being temporary. You lose weight and body fat enough so that you can see the lower abs for a short period of time but wind up putting it all back on because the diet is not something you can stick with. Don’t let that happen to you. Find something that you can enjoy and you will have found your lower abs for life. Next, we have to address the common mistakes made in how we perform our ab exercises. While the rectus abdominus is a single muscle that contracts all or none, you cannot simply perform top down ab exercises like crunches and expect to get the same level of development as if you performed lower ab exercises. Lower ab exercises are those that move from the bottom up. The key to these exercises is that the added weight of the legs that needs to be overcome on each rep is enough to provide an overload and a stimulation of the type II fibers of the abdominals. When these are activated and trained, the abs will hypertrophy a bit and stand out more making them more visible when body fat levels are low. This leads to the next big ab training mistake however. You have to make sure that you don’t confuse simply moving your legs with effective targeting of the lower abs. In order to train the lower ab muscles the right way you need to focus on moving the pelvis rather than the legs. When the pelvis moves, the legs will come along for the ride naturally due to their connection at the hip joint. Regardless of whether you are doing hanging ab raises or lower ab exercises on the floor, the same key applies. Be sure to posteriorly rotate your pelvis in order to activate the lower abs and stop focusing on simply raising and lowering the legs which is more of a hip flexor dominant movement. Finally, you will want to expand your understanding of the core if you want to get your lower abs to show better. This means, looking to stabilize the pelvis from below by contracting the adductors on every rep of every exercise you can for your bottom most abs. This means just crossing your legs and squeezing them together at the knees on most hanging or seated ab exercises. So here is the blueprint to getting awesome abs.
