Stillborn Cave isn't a nice place to vacation. Lots of bugs. Lots of bad guys. Lots of deaths. After a rough start there, I head out to Fellglow Keep where I find a waiting party of magic users. We take them out in style.

Fellglow Keep is a huge fort east-northeast of Whiterun, and home to a group of renegade mages from the College of Winterhold.
The fort consists of three sections: Fellglow Keep Dungeons, Fellglow Keep, and Fellglow Keep Ritual Chamber. Part of Fellglow Keep and all of Fellglow Keep Ritual Chamber are only accessible during the Hitting the Books quest. The keep can be reached by following a path from the northern Valtheim Tower.
There are two Mages and a flame atronach guarding the exterior of the keep. One of the mages is standing lookout on a damaged tower, while the other is standing by a campfire near the main entrance to Fellglow Keep. It is initially locked and requires a key to enter. The flame atronach is to the southwest, near an entrance to Fellglow Keep Dungeons, which is the entrance you will have to enter and navigate from to reach the interior of the keep. There is a long wooden table to the right of the main entrance with a haunch of horse meat, a bottle of ale, a portion of grilled leeks, a small coin purse and a sprig of frost mirriam on top. There is a small vegetable patch to the east of the campfire. It consists of a potato plant, three leeks and seven cabbages. There is a chicken wandering the area and to the southeast a shallow pool that contains a salmon.
Hitting the Books
Hitting the Books is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The quest serves as the third quest in the College of Winterhold's quest line. To unearth important information about Saarthal, Urag gro-Shub asks that three books hidden within Fellglow Keep be recovered. The books, Night of Tears, The Last King of the Ayleids and Fragment: On Artaeum, were stolen by Orthorn, who is being held prisoner therein by The Caller.
To begin, speak with Urag gro-Shub about any documents that might explain the connection between Saarthal and the Psijic Order. Urag sits at his desk inside The Arcanaeum. Urag confesses that the needed documents were recently stolen by an apprentice by the name of Orthorn, who took the books and ran off to Fellglow Keep to join up with a group of mages who left the College. He suggests "speaking" with Orthorn about the books.
The entrance lead into an ice tunnel heading south, ahead the path turns to the west where an ice melt run off is flowing from east to west carving a fast moving stream through the cave. Ahead is a leveled chaurus near some Falmer style fencing. There is an exit to the west. The path follows the north wall around and down to where the chaurus is wandering. It is possible to reach the other side of the stream, however there is nothing of interest over there. The exit is an ice tunnel that turns to the south and then back to the west before opening out into a cave with an alcove to the north containing an unlocked Falmer chest, an exit opposite where you enter to the west and around the corner to the south is a Falmer tent, with a Falmer hive on the wall between the tent and exit. There is a patrolling Falmer behind the tent and another hiding in the hive. An unlocked Falmer chest is to the right of the empty tent that has a gate blocking the entrance.
Taking the tunnel to the west, the tunnel turns to the north before opening into a cave with a magic-using Falmer that likes to use frost magic and another leveled chaurus. At the rear of the cave is a Falmer tent containing an unlocked chest, a Falmer shield and a human skull. From the first cave, the path follows around the front of the tent, along the south wall, rising to the rear of it. Be careful as there is a tripwire across the path that activates a claw trap hinged on a pillar to the right. On the right side of the pillar is an apothecary's satchel beside a copy of the Conjuration skill book The Warrior's Charge. Beyond this a narrow tunnel heads to the southwest.
The tunnel turns to the northwest and then opens into another cave with a Falmer patrolling. Entering the tunnel, there is a caved-in tunnel to the south with a medium coin purse on the ground in front of it, an exit to the north and another past the Falmer to the west.
