The lyrics for this song is taken from Psalm 130/131. It talks about the heart of a true believer, not of Mr. Vain, Ms. Vain, Mrs. Vain, Mr. Actor, Mr. Pretender, oops! including confused gender/genderless HeShe etc.
In ancient Christianity, the heart represents the deepest recesses of our soul/spirit, the true self in Christ. That is why prayer comes from the heart and it should be performed in Spirit and in Truth. Prayer is not meant for the amelioration of many nor for the sake of showmanship such as actors/actresses/prentenders. The Scripture teaches, out of evil heart, comes evil thoughts, speeches and deeds. In another place, our Lord Yahshua teaches, the eyes are the windows to the soul and we must ensure that our eyes be single, so, what is the correlation between the heart and the eyes? It is clear, if the eyes are dirty, haughty and many, we become double minded. Inasmuch, our heart becomes dirty since we think we can serve two masters, partly for the god of this world and partly for the Holy and Perfect God.That is why our Lord says, let our eyes be single which means, we should not be double minded. It is the same to our itching ears. If we listen to dirty stuffs and satanic fables/heresies and later enact them, our heart becomes tarnished. The result is bidirectional, garbage in, garbage out. That is why our Lord says that the fear of the God is the beginning of wisdom and that wisdom settles in the heart. The Godless and haughty men/women love the things of this world thus even though, they have eyes, they cannot see and even though they have ears, they cannot hear and perceive as evil proceeds from their heart, always plotting menacing destruction and craving for power senselessly as tantalized by this world.
In order to attain purity in Christ, we must confess all our sins to God ceaselessly before we depart this world. Full repentance means sin no more. What is "sin no more," and is remarriage fine?Remarriage(=adultery...not the second marriage of widows) is neither repentance nor penance as sin is rekindled and sustained. Ask, did our Lord ever say that the harlot could continue her sinful life after He had firmly corrected her by saying "Sin no more?" No. "Sin no more" means, the harlot should stop her corrupted and filthy life as being a prostitute. Thus, it is imperative to segregate between mortal sin and venial sin. By this, it does not mean that we do not commit venial sins, like being impatient, a bit angry etc which must also be overcome asap as the ascetics did in ancient times. Two crucial Scriptural teachings are highlighted here: St John emphasizes, a true Christian cannot sin, thus, be perfect and pure since God is perfect. By this, I am not inferring absolute perfection for Christians since only God is perfect and pure absolutely. In connection to this, St John also writes, whoever sins comes from the devil as he was the liar and murderer from beginning.
Many have this idea that it is sufficient to only confess to God directly, but is this valid? No. Humanly speaking, it is more shameful to confess in front of a priest (true Catholic) as a witness than to confess directly to our dear Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, which in both cases, He as God, is omnipresent but invisible. The confession is a foretaste of Judgment seat of Christ. In the Bible, Christ avers, our unconfessed sins will be witnessed by all apostles, Mother Mary, all the choirs of angels and saints as all things are revealed, so will this be shameful? Yes. By then, it will be too late for many. Imagine those who curse and swear our dear Lord? Imagine those who blaspheme St Mary, our Mother all their lives? Imagine, how we will hide our faces when all our shameful sins are shown openly to the multitude likened to an instant replay of a video? God's judgment is most powerful and it will be accomplished within split seconds. That is why the Judgement seat of Christ is dreadful and terrible to those who are perishing as nothing is hidden. In the blinking of an eye, sentence will be passed whether one is going to hell or heaven.
Note, the true priest is the representative of God thus he is the witness of our sins. Now, do you know why heretics shun confessions-the Orthodox Catholic way, as handed down by the Holy Church?
Of course, we must use God's wisdom to discern, whether one is a false priest or one is a true priest(still in the state of grace) as the true one will try his best to do all the commandments of Christ diligently. In other words, he is neither side tracked nor easily bought by the wicked who expound dirty and shameful doctrines. In fact, he will counter all falsehoods, not one, not two, but all with his utterances and actions as he loves Christ the King.
I bought this original CD, however, this video is intended for spiritual edification in the Triune God, certainly not for profiteering.
