How to Make Cabinet Doors with Rail and Stile Router Bits | Skill Builder

09:42
Learn how to build cabinet door frames using a rail and stile router bit set. Most cabinet doors - especially if they are made in a factory - have frames that are assembled with rail and stile joints, also commonly called cope and stick joints. These joints feature a decorative profile, such as a flat shaker edge, a rounder, or an ogee, that frames the panel, and a groove that contains the panel. Building cabinet doors is easy when you have a rail and stile router bit set to cut these joints. How to Make Professional Grade Flat Panel Cabinet Doors

43:19
Learn how to make professional grade Flat Panel Cabinet Doors for stronger, better looking stain-grade doors by using real wood instead of mdf or plywood. This video shows the process for using solid wood and classic 'tongue and groove joinery' to build a pair of 'rustic alder' kitchen cabinet doors using standard shop equipment. It goes 'deep in the weeds' to cover material selection, sizing, milling for frame components and glue up of large 'thin' flat panels followed by setup and cutting of dados and tenons for the joinery on a tablesaw. This long-format video is produced to be more 'master class with a carpenter' than 'Saturday afternoon entertainment on HGTV' so I hope viewers will appreciate it as such. Kitchen Makeover - Make New Shaker Cabinet Doors // DIY

06:32
Use baltic birch plywood to give your kitchen a modern shaker-style makeover. I used 1/2" Baltic birch plywood for the cabinet doors, and used 1/4" baltic birch plywood to create a 2" frame around the perimeter of the door. To finish them, I applied an ebony stain, then 4 coats of satin wipe-on polyurethane.

120 Making Kitchen Cabinet Doors

16:08
Our project today involves making six replacement doors for my friends kitchen cabinets. Instead if trying to copy my friend's doors, instead I went with a similar style I googled. They are flat panel doors with a clear pine frame, with a beadboard front panel attached in rabbits in the frame. The frame has mitred corners that are held together with pocket screws. However, the real strength of the doors comes from the gusseting support of the beadboard front, which is both nailed and glued into the frame. The doors are finished in "Extra White" cabinet paint, with silver (stainless) knobs and hinges.

How To Fix Uneven Cabinet Doors By Adjusting Concealed Style Hinges For Best Finish

01:46
Kung Fu Maintenance demonstrates how you can adjust uneven european style cabinet doors by adjusting hinges for the best possible finish. So I've got some really uneven cabinets as you can see here. Show you how to adjust this up here. At our hinges the back screw is our set screw and determines how far the cabinet sits from the wall. But that front screw right here is a pivot screw and if we adjust that. If we tighten it up it will move the door out that way a little bit. So you can see here. We are already in much better line here. Might just lower it down or actually might just tighten the other side up just a tiny bit to make these meet up. Same thing here. Looks like we got a little clicking hinge there. Different story but looking right there. Now we are meeting up nice and perfect. That's how you can adjust uneven cabinets. Nice and easy.

Squaring Face Frames & Cabinet Doors

04:04
"TOOLS I USE" at: www.budmanproductions.com. I recently rebuilt our kitchen cabinets using the original carcass where possible.  Since I certainly am not a professional, I needed a consistent way to build things square. I replaced eleven face frames in order to get rid of the center mid style. The project also required the building of a combination of fifty five doors and drawer fronts. Plus I had to build two new lower cabinets to replace the originals that were not square or worth saving. The soffits were closed in with doors and most of the cabinets were fitted with full extension drawers.   A companion video, “Inexpensive Clamping System” can be viewed here - https://youtu.be/_I8UzGZarmc Also please subscribe and visit my web site at www.budmanproductions.com .

Shaker cabinet doors (start to finish)

04:39
In this video I show how shaker cabinet doors are made from start to finish, though this is more of a demonstration, and not necessarily a how to video. I'm thinking of starting a Patreon page to make videos like this that include more details, and will be more instructional. These doors were made for a client that has existing douglas fir trim and mouldings all over their house, and they wanted to maintain that theme. I personally did not enjoy working with the wood, as I find it to be extremely delicate, and I had gained about 100 splinters by the time I was done, ha.
