THE DOORS - Whiskey, mystics and men

02:24
The song released on the 2000 compilation is mostly a studio creation, the vocal parts of Jim Morrison are the same as the ones in the bootleg Missing Links (which is entirely from the February 25th 1969 The Soft Parade session) and overdubs by the surviving The Doors members performed in 1977. Nevertheless, official releases say is from 1970. The track is featured in two distinctly different versions on the remastered 2006 release of The Soft Parade. Version 1 is the later creation, whereas version 2 was recorded "live" in the studio during the recording of the album in 1969.

Whiskey, Mystics And Men by The Doors. (Recorded at Elektra Studios, Los Angeles, CA, 1970) From The Doors: Box Set, Without a Safety Net Disc 1 Subscribe here: http://www.youtube.com/user/idanceonfire Lyrics: Well, I'll tell you a story of whiskey and mystics and men, And about the believers and how the whole thing began. First there were women and children obeying the moon, Then daylight brought wisdom and fever and sickness too soon. You can try to remind me instead of the other, you can. You can help to insure that we all insecure our command. If you don't give a listen, I won't try to tell your new hand. This is it; can't you see that we all have our ends in the band. And if all of the teachers and preachers of wealth were arraigned, We could see quite a future for me in the literal sands. And if all of the people could claime to inspect such regrets, well, we'd have no forgiveness, forgetfullness, faithful remorse. So I tell you, I tell you, I tell you we must send away. We must try to find a new answer instead of a way. THE DOORS THE DOORS THE DOORS WHISKEY MYSTICS AND MEN WHISKEY MYSTICS AND MEN WHISKEY MYSTICS AND MEN

LYRICS ENGLISH: Well, I'll tell you a story of whiskey and mystics and men, and about the believers and how the whole thing began. First there were women and children obeying the moon, then daylight brought wisdom, and fever, and sickness too soon. You can try to remind me instead of the other, you can. You can help to insure that we all insecure our command. If you don't give a listen, I won't try to tell your new hand. This is it can't you see, that we all have our ends in the band. And if all of the teachers and preachers of wealth were arraigned, we could see quite a future for me in the literal sands. And if all the people could claim to inspect such regrets, well, we'd have no forgiveness, forget, fullness, faithful remorse. So I tell you, I tell you, I tell you we must send away. We must try to find a new answer instead of a way. Jim Morrison - The Lost Paris Tapes (Bird or Prey / Whiskey, Mystics and Men & poetry)

05:33
Bits and pieces of a recorded collection of unedited poems and songs by Jim Morrison. Although Morrison intentionally made the recordings, they are considered bootlegs because they were never officially released to the public in their unedited form by Morrison or his heirs. The title of the collection is however a misnomer, because the bulk of the recordings were made in Los Angeles in February 1969; long before Morrison traveled to Paris. Morrison took these Los Angeles recordings with him to Paris, where they were found among his belongings after his death.

Jim Morrison - voce Robby Krieger - chitarra; voce nel ritornello nella traccia 7 Ray Manzarek - tastiera John Densmore - batteria Curtis Amy - sassofono (traccia 2) Reinol Andino - conga George Bohannon - trombone Harvey Brooks - basso (tracce 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 9) Jimmy Buchanan - violino Doug Lubahn - basso (tracce 5, 6, 8) Jesse McReynolds - mandolino Champ Webb – corno inglese Paul Harris – arrangiamenti orchestrali (tracce 1, 2, 7, 8, 10) TESTO Well, I'll tell you a story of whiskey and mystics and men, And about the believers and how the whole thing began. First there were women and children obeying the moon, Then daylight brought wisdom and fever and sickness too soon. You can try to remind me instead of the other, you can. The Doors - Whiskey, mystics and men

One of the greatest songs by The Doors Lyrics: Well, I’ll tell you a story of whiskey and mystics and men, And about the believers and how the whole thing began. First there were women and children obeying the moon, Then daylight brought wisdom and fever and sickness too soon. You can try to remind me instead of the other, you can. You can help to insure that we all insecure our command. If you don’t give a listen, I won’t try to tell your new hand. This is it; can’t you see that we all have our ends in the band. And if all of the teachers and preachers of wealth were arraigned, We could see quite a future for me in the literal sands. And if all the people could claime to inspect such regrets, well, we’d have no forgiveness, forgetfullness, faithful remorse. So I tell you, I tell you, I tell you we must send away. We must try to find a new answer instead of a way. Well, I’ll tell you a story of whiskey and mystics and men, And about the believers and how the whole thing began. A personal project combining a love for music, Kingley Vale and the ancient forests that surround it. I wanted to exercise some ideas and put them together, combining some elements of our history as ancient Britain's, shamanism and the words and music of The Doors. Jim Morrison's words Whiskey, Mystics and Men somehow reflects these ideas of how it all began. Shot on an Inspire 1 & Panasonic GH4 for the ground shots. Stock footage used with a few pictures of ancient cave art from around the world......Druids not included ;) Facebook page: facebook.com/FlyingRhinoFilms/

Jim Morrisons bootleg poetry recordings, none of which were actually recorded in Paris. Although the addition of music in 'An American Prayer' was very interesting, we prefer the unedited poems from the tapes, where they originated from. Because they are bootleg not only are they extremely rare, but their are also no copyright restrictions on them (at least, none that we are aware of). - 'Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for 'fair use' for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
