I decided to go shopping at Rural King for some tools earlier today and I ended up walking out of there with two boxes of these wrenches
I do have a variety of wrenches already, from Industrial wrenches like SK , Cornwell & Proto, to Automotive wrenches like Gear Wrench, Craftsman, Kobalt, and I have Stanley, Hyper Tough , Task Force, Power Craft, Duralast, Auto Craft, TEQ Pro too.
Every tool has a purpose .
There's no reason to buy expensive tools for every job that you do. If you have a barn with farms & tractors than a wrench set from Rural King like Tool Shed, is perfect
I use these wrenches and call them "banger wrenches" because because I beat them to death and save my expensive wrenches from excessive abuse.
Just because these wrenches have no brand stamped into them , just because they're cheap doesn't mean they don't work, because they do work well
They can't be warrantied out but if i can replace the set for the price of an expensive set, then it's worth buying for job specific task.
I have case of these at an Industrial Plant where I'm hired to make repairs on call. They enable me to leave my own tools without packing tools in and out.
I have tool boxes with these in them that I take to junkyards on the weekend sometime, I use these types of wrenches to dismantle old cars and trucks.
You can find 1,000 uses for these types of tools and they're well worth purchasing for the price and they'll save your name brand wrenches from a lot of abuse
The Product is Tool Shed from Rural King
The price was $15.00 for a set of 24 wrenches SAE & METRIC
They are A.N.S.I CERTIFIED and so is all expensive name brand products , so these wrenches are pretty tough for those standards
They're Made In India
Which is better than China and other products like Hyper Tough & Power Craft are Made there but these give you more products for your price.
Check out my Hyper Tough tool review below
They're Made from Drop Forged, Heat Treated, Chrome Vanadium Steel
With a corrosion resistant chrome plated finish
A raised panel on the body for added strength , much like the Craftsman, Hyper Tough, Power Craft brands
Precision Machined 15 angled open ends
And a 12 Point offset boxed end on each wrench
With standard you get
SAE= 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 13/16, 7/8 & 1"
It only skips 15/16
With METRIC you get
MM=7mm, 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 18mm, 19mm & 22mm
Only skipping 16mm, 17mm, 20MM & 21mm
It comes in a roller storage pouch for easy storage and packing
Made by Akar Tools Ltd
These wrenches do fit fasteners and bolts the same as Hyper Tough, Stanley, Proto, Gear Wrench, Duralast, Kobalt, Craftsman, Husky, Cornwell, Matco, Mac, SK, Snap On, Tekton, Task Force, Sure Built, Armstrong, Power Craft, True Craft, Jobsite , Sunex, and all the other brands on the market
They aren't the same quality or as durable as these higher brands but they will get the job done if you buy them for specific task.
Im not recommending these as professional use or semi pro but these are great for banger wrenches, DIY repairs, loaner tools, tool shed tools, farm tools, weekend warriors, beginners, junkyard dogs, etc
They're worth buying for job specific task and it's worth it when you don't have to kill or lose your favorite quality brand tools
Be smart, but smart, think logically and you'll fix a lot of shit without spending a ton of money , plus you'll be able to save up for quality tools in the end.
