The List is a women’s lifestyle site, with a twist. We pride ourselves on being original, well-researched, and without sugar-coating, but no topic is beneath us. We tackle everything from reality TV (we’re a bit obsessed!), to finding love, to living a healthy and happy life. Every video you watch is either a personal experience, advice from an expert, or meticulously sourced, so you know you’re getting info you can trust, from women who get it.
Fat men clubs for guys pushing 200 lbs. let that sink in folks. 200 lbs was considered “fat”. Lol. Now 200 lb men are everywhere and depending on your height they don’t even qualify as chubby to most people. People in the 1800s would literally put a 300lber plus into a side show because they were so rare they were considered freaks. The US has got to get its obesity problem under control it brings down your overall quality of life let alone your life span. I used to be obese and I lost the weight. I didn’t even realize how miserable I was when I was fat. It was just my normal but now being lean I can look back and say man I was miserable. Standing in a line was hard sometimes going up stairs etc.
i hate the idea that a good and HEALTHY body is "unattainable". if it was, you wouldn't see it. It is, you just either don't want to put in the time, don't have the time (which i think everyone should make time to improve their health daily), or you have a disability preventing you. everyone (yes, there are exceptions) has the option and ability to have muscular and/or lean bodies, but nobody wants to put in the dedication to obtain it
Perfect is not "whatever you rock", perfect is putting in effort to not be a fat slag. It is not unrealistic to make your body the best body you can make it, and you can still be healthy in the process. I did not work my ass off and gain a muscular physique to be called equal to some fatass. You've got one body, make the best of it.
Ok I'm just going to be completely and possibly brutally honest. I've been noticing nowadays that people are just trying to make themselves look perfect and hate the way they look. Nobody is perfect people and I understand that keeping yourself presentable is very good and important keep doing that, but there is something I dont like and it is that people are either putting way to much makeup on or spraying to much cologne or just going crazy about your looks. It's really ruining how life is for people and the people who are pressuring (key word I said the people who are pressuring) is causing this mess and whoever it is really needs to stop. Nobody is perfect I'm not perfect, you are not perfect, everything is not perfect (I'm not putting religion in this just no not happening). If you need to be motivated about this again just either read this comment or just go talk to someone like a counselor. The rate of suicide keeps going up because of this and it's true stop being sensitive about this topic because people who are filtered and sensitive about it needs to wake up and understand that it's true. It needs to stop. It really does and I'm probably going to get hate which I probably wont understand why but it's really stupid when people put hate on something that is helpful.
I like several different body types personally really if I love the man I will love his body too. I like medium build men and I like big beefy guys too I don't like them shorter than me or obese but otherwise the body is not my primary focus their face and personality are still important for attractibility imo.
In todays society we are supposed to accept that everyone is beautiful no matter how they look. But when the out of shape people go to find dates or mates, they find it a shock to discover that no one really means that. So go ahead and say what you want, but when it gets right down to it,the person who is in shape and takes care of themselves will always be the most desireable.
Honestly, I don’t think any of them will really come back into style. I think each is someone’s particular style. I mean yeah, there will always be people with borderline zero personality who will do what pop culture says. But I think there are women who like hyper athletic bodies, ones who like dad bods, ones who like the original Bond style, and so on. It’s just whatever they want. And I’m sure all are attractive in a sense. I see women with petite bodies and I think it’s attractive. But I also think thick women are too, and even athletic women.
You should really have whatever body you want, AS LONG AS IT IS HEALTHY! Fat and very skinny bodies are simply not natural nor safe. There seems to be some lack of understanding about this. You cannot be "healthy at any size." If you are outside of normal ranges, it is a proven risk to health. This isn't about feelings, it's about science. This applies to a lesser extent to muscle, but still, it is bad to have no muscle, and bad to have an enormous amount.
“It is usually about women” it seems like you are trying to make it look as if women are under pressure of man who are telling them to be beautiful in reality however women do not find 80 percent of the men not attractive and capable. Who is under pressure now ladies you tell me? The only thing man want is basically fit women shouldn’t be so hard.
Honestly, "the look" should always be about aiming for 100% health and hygiene. Eat clean, Exercise for joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons, Flexibility, so when you're 80 you can still dance with your grandchildren. Maintain a healthy weight (I would consider 'healthy weight' to be around 10-12% body fat (more for women, maybe around 20%)). Hygiene: Its as simple as washing your body, brushing your teeth and prevention of spreading sickness.
Finally, Mental health: Socialize, Be Confident, Learn more, Motivate, Allow your emotions to be expressed (laugh often) and listen to good music.
These are fundamentals we should all seek in life, that is what should be considered 'attractive'.
It's weird, but when I was a kid, “shredded” and “cut” specifically meant having very low body fat.The idea was that you could easily see muscle fibers, and muscle separation. Now, shredded and cut mean having both low body fat AND a very large, muscular build. Shredded and cut were originally used in bodybuilding to describe the ideal state for actual bodybuilding competitions, but it was not considered ideal between contests, as it was too difficult to maintain super-low body fat at the same time you were trying to build muscle. Now it seems we have to be genetically gifted, shredded, hyper muscular,...essentially perfect, at all times. Yes, woman have had to deal with much of that all along, but the world is worse off for men joining the ranks of the objectified, and everyone should be set free to just be healthy, not “perfect”.
7:26 is absolute bullshit. Men receive just as much, or more, media pressure to fit the “perfect” body image. For example, name a recent movie where an overweight female found the perfect guy; now *try* and do the same for an overweight male. Go ahead. **I’ll wait.**
It's just that women in general are way more insecure about the body and they bring that pressure on themselves overthinking of ways people judge them when it's mostly just themselves doing their own judging (this is NOT every chick but most).
Don’t talk about “perfect bodies”when men say they have a ideal body for a girl or women they get slaughtered for it. And by saying this ur also saying that ur body is ugly if u don’t have this. All body types are okay none is perfect just some people prefer different qualities them others
Fat acceptance is death acceptance, like it or hate it. Overweight shouldn't be something you can be proud of, it is something you should want to get rid of. It´s just unhealthy
edit: This is applied for both men and woman!!!
