M. Night Shyamalan brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals—2000’s Unbreakable, from Touchstone, and 2016’s Split, from Universal—in one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller: Glass.
From Unbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast.
Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.
Joining the all-star cast are Unbreakable’s Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard, who reprise their roles as Dunn’s son and Price’s mother, as well as Golden Globe Award winner Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story series).
This riveting culmination of his worldwide blockbusters is produced by Shyamalan and Blumhouse Production’s Jason Blum, who also produced the writer/director’s previous two films for Universal. They produce again with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, and Steven Schneider and Kevin Frakes, who executive produce. Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum also serve as executive producers.
A Blinding Edge Pictures and Blumhouse production, Glass will be released by Universal Pictures in North America on January 18, 2019, and by Buena Vista International abroad.
What makes this so different from other superhero stories is that from the viewpoint of both the hero and villain this is the first time each is coming into contact with someone that can actually both a threat to each other
Hipster Elephant, what makes you think you need to forgive him for something that wasn't his fault? The Last Airbender was only bad because of *studio interference,* the same reason that The Happening and After Earth were bad. Out of his 5 bad movies (based on RottenTomatoes percentages) Night has made **only 2** bad movies that were actually his own fault: *The Village* and *Lady in the Water* ... That's it, just those 2 ... The story of The Last Airbender's production was revealed by a Avatar fansite member (who was openly acting as a storyboard artist for the movie, his crew-membership was established BEFORE the movie came out). Here's a link to the storyboard artist's words, which was copied before the studio ordered the fansite admins to take it down: https://www.mnightfans.com/the-true-story-of-the-last-airbender-revealed/
Do you know what’s cool about the trilogy Unbreakable, Split, and Glass!?
Unbreakable (2000) is all about a man who is “Unbreakable meaning that he cannot get hurt
Split (2016) is about a man with over 20 “Split” (different) personalities
And last but not least...
Glass (2019) is about a man whose bones are as delicate as “Glass”
Don't tell the twist is that unbreakable and split are just imaginary stories made up by those three mental patients ! I would be so disappointed and hope M Night isn't that dumb enough to go that way.
Beast looks like a real match for Dunn but I imagine there will be (or should be) a scene where the Beast is trying to mangle the fuck outta Dunn and not doing any damage. Obviously water will play a big role. Dunn will defeat the Beast in the end. Maybe with the help of his (possibly empowered) son.
There on January 18th with bells on and ringing with 15+ years of anticipation! STILL in the Stratosphere with GLASS hype!
👏😁 🔔 ☁️
P.S. I squeaked with joy when I saw Casey and Kevin? Hug it out! lol
P.S. Re/Watch Unbreakable and Split in December so that you won’t be flying in blind when Glass releases on January 18th! 😁👍
2 of the dislikes is from marvel and DC lol. Btw I hope this movie and Aquaman (even though they aren't marvel) and the mcu films next year pays tribute to Stan Lee. But anyways this movie looks awesome! Unbreakable is one of my favorite movies of all time! Definitely top 5. And split is awesome as well. I'm so hyped to see the 3 interact with each other
+John Smith I c your point but Stan Lee was an inspiration for the common superhero. Idk for sure but I have a feeling M. Night used his heroes as inspirations for this trilogy. And DC has already payed tribute to him so they don't need to pay tribute to him in Aquaman. And the mcu films for next year they definitely do need to pay tribute to him because he created those characters. It's already special because those movies are done filmed and have his last cameos in them but I'd like to at least at the end of Avengers 4 "In memory of Stan Lee 1922-2018".
Exactly. All were saying the same thing with split.
Ain't no fking body saw that twist at the end coming.
Even when you heard everyone say oh there is a twist at the end. Even then you never knew what's the twist till it hit you at the very last moment.
I’m super hyped for this movie, but I feel like the trailers might be showing too much. It seems like the movie is going to go down like this. The first act is going to be more backstory of Mr. Glass and what he’s been going through after he got locked up. Then we transition to what David Dunn, and the Horde (I think that’s what 3 of the personalities were calling themself) have been up to. David Dunn finds out that the Horde has locked up those cheerleaders so he goes to rescue them. They get into a fight at the warehouse, and both break out of the building while it’s raining possibly making David Dunn powerless. Then the cops show up and lock them up with Mr. Glass. The second act is about the doctor examining the three of them, and Mr. Glass comes up with a plan to break out of the facility with the Beast to reign terror on the word. Then we get to the third act where David Dunn breaks out of the facility, and goes to the school to stop Mr. Glass and the Beast. I wonder if the twist will be that Kevin’s mom or dad was on the same train as David Dunn. When he finds out it was Mr. Glass who sabotaged the train he turns on him.
I agree, it would seem that Casey will play a big part in the movie. It looked like they try to get her to convince Hedwig to maybe give the light to Kevin Wendell Crumb or maybe how to stop the Horde and/or Beast at this point.
@Emoclaus, @allan moncrieff, you haven't looked closely enough in the three trailers, that has been released. Casey Cooke has a bigger role in this whole thing, in the first trailer there is a short clip of the The Horde hugging a person, while laughing. In the third trailer he hugs Casey, even though I'm not sure which personality it is. And the comic book, which repreresent the Horde is Casey holding it, so there might be a chance, that she will try to turn him against Mr. Glass. We see two clips, where Glass's mother, Dunn's son and Casey stands - in the second one, she is gone and Dunn's son is on the ground with a supposedly injured arm. Casey has been the character with least performance in the three trailers and therefore she might be the big twist of the whole movie - even though there are probably more. The only thing we don't know is how it ends. We don't know who dies.
But i dont think so, if its real & horde start to attack glass, than glass is surely screwed!! Except if thats really happen & then david dunn fight horde again to protect glass, his enemy, but i think again, horde hate his mom, whatever i confuse myself
